Edward Dugger, AIA, ASA, NCAC
Senior Acoustical Consultant


Edward holds a degree in Architecture from Virginia Tech. After obtaining his license in 1984, Edward embarked on a career specializing in architectural acoustics. As project manager and senior consultant with several international architectural and acoustical consulting firms,
Edward has gained experience in numerous projects throughout the United States and the United Kingdom.

Since founding Edward Dugger + Associates in 2003, he has consulted on many high profile projects including the New World Symphony in Miami, Florida designed by Frank Gehry and the state-of the-art Max Planck Research facility located in Jupiter, Florida designed by ZGF Architects. Edward has held executive positions in several professional associations and routinely presents educational seminars to those eager to understand more about architectural acoustics.

Edward is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), current member and past President of the AIA Treasure Coast Chapter (Florida), member of the Acoustical Society of America (ASA), Vice President and Treasurer of the Florida Chapter of the Acoustical Society of America (ASA-FL), and a member of the National Council of Acoustical Consultants (NCAC). He is also NCARB certified.

Emily Garber, AIA Associate, ASA
Acoustical Consultant


Emily earned a Bachelor of Design in Architecture degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville. She holds a Master of Architecture degree with a focus in acoustics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Her specialized training in 3D modeling programs as well as acoustic testing and analysis software assists her in communicating design solutions to our clients.

Peter Borchard
Audio Video Designer


Peter has extensive experience in sound system design and recording techniques. He designed and ran a large audio studio and production facility at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft, New Jersey. Currently, he oversees the design and production drawings for audio visual systems at Edward Dugger + Associates. Peter has been involved in the design of numerous audio systems, both large and small, for a wide range of building types.

Peter is an amateur harpsichordist and studies naval architecture and mechanical engineering. In his spare time he enjoys lecturing on the subjects of modern digital classical music recording practices and microphone technology.

Thomas G. (Tom) Sutterfield
Information Technology Consultant


Tom holds an Executive Masters of Science in Management Technology from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta. He has a rich background in the design, operation and construction of high availability centers including Data Centers, 911 Centers, and Emergency Operation Centers.

Whether building from the ground up, or retrofitting an existing facility, Tom’s experience with engineering and facilities management provides exactly what is needed to allow 24/7 operations. In addition, he is able to bridge the language barrier between all members of a design team, creating a product that meets the needs of all clients.

With twenty years' experience working with several startup companies including a background screening company and a large public records company providing data to local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies, Tom's skills are unmatched in today’s fast moving information age.

Tom is an active member of AFCOM, the leading association of Data Center management professionals, and he follows the BICSI information technology systems design methodology.

Kurt Lee Durjan
Consultant and Contractor


Kurt’s knowledge spans a wide berth of electronics and computer systems design. Certified in Magellan Satellite Installations, he has experience in the design of audio video theater systems, alarm systems, indoor/outdoor systems cabling, and programmable logic controllers. He enjoys travel, and as a contractor for Edward Dugger + Associates has supervised audio video installations for various National Parks in Alaska, the Everglades, Wyoming, and Utah. Kurt holds an A.A.S. Degree in Electronics Engineering from Indian River State College and an Associate in Arts Degree from Seminole Community College.

Carolyn Zytaruk-Dugger, OAA, AIA Associate
Director of Operations


Carolyn Zytaruk-Dugger is a graduate of the University of Toronto and holds an architectural license in Canada and is an International AIA Associate. With twenty-five years' experience in both the design and construction phases of commercial and residential buildings, she is an important contributor to many of the projects undertaken at Edward Dugger + Associates. Her additional responsibilities include business management and marketing for the firm.
