Aventura Arts & Cultural Center
Aventura, FL (2010)

ED+A provided room acoustic criteria, noise control, theatre design, design details, audio/video, and construction administration services for the new Aventura Arts and Cultural Center. Nestled along the Intracoastal Waterway, this new facility holds a 320-seat proscenium theatre, lobby, administrative offices, dressing rooms, green room, loading dock, security, and ancillary support spaces.

New World Symphony
Miami Beach, FL (2010)

ED+A, in collaboration with Nagata Acoustics America, confirmed elements of the architectural design and noise control strategies during the construction administration phase of this $160 million, 107,000 sf educational facility. The 690+ seat concert hall boasts vineyard seating, a recording studio, a rooftop garden, an exterior projection wall and outstanding musicians primed to teach, both indoors and out.

Century Village Auditorium
West Palm Beach, FL (2005)

This project involved the renovation of the auditorium as a result of damage sustained during a hurricane. ED+A’s scope of work focused on room acoustics, mechanical noise control, and sound isolation, with plan and document review, design development and recommendations for audio system design.

Delray Children’s Theatre
Delray Beach, FL (2004)

Located within the Delray Beach Playhouse, the 238-seat theatre provides a delightful space in which to foster the talents of, or provide a theatre-going experience for children and young adults within the community. ED+A provided room acoustics, noise control, and audio/video design services for the auditorium, lobby, administration and classroom areas.

Hardman Auditorium
Lake Wales, FL (2006)

This project involved the adapted reuse of a 1919 High School into a 400+ seat performing arts space. Services provided by ED+A included room acoustics, sound isolation, architectural plan review, and development of acoustical design approaches for the auditorium, stage tower, and acoustic environments.

Raymond F. Kravis Center
West Palm Beach, FL

The Center holds a 2,193-seat concert hall, a 300-seat Playhouse, a 1,400-seat amphitheatre, and presents more than 350 performances annually. Edward, prior to founding ED+A, held the position of project manager during the design and construction of the building. Recently, ED+A provided room acoustics services to the Center in its assessment of the facility.

Lyric Theatre
Stuart, FL (2004)

Built in the 1920’s for use as a silent movie house, the newly restored 500-seat Lyric Theatre stands as a cultural attraction in historic downtown Stuart. Known for its "whisper perfect” acoustics, the theatre has undergone numerous renovations and enhancements. ED+A held responsibility for room acoustics, audio/video system design reviews, and mechanical noise control consulting services.

Maltz Jupiter Theatre
Jupiter, FL (2004)

Built by Burt Reynolds in 1978 as a dinner theatre, this 554-seat theatre offers an array of cultural experiences on Florida’s Treasure Coast. During a 2004 renovation, ED+A provided room acoustics, and noise control consulting services. The renovation raised the roof 14 feet and mandated changes to ceilings, walls and flooring. A new sound and lighting system was also installed.

Mizner Park Studio Theatre
Boca Raton, FL (2004)

A new 300-seat Studio Theatre recently opened in the old Cartoon Museum Building at Mizner Park in Boca Raton, Florida. ED+A’s involvement included room acoustics, mechanical noise control, theatre consulting services, and audio/video systems design. The room holds an integrated concert shell and a flexible seating platform system that allows a wide variety of seating arrangements.

Riverside Theatre
Vero Beach, FL (2007)

Programming for the renovation and addition to the Riverside Theatre was varied, and consulting services were provided for room acoustics and audio/video systems design. ED+A, in collaboration with Kirkegaard Associates, provided options for speech and music reinforcement, mechanical noise control, audio presentations, and theatre production support systems.

Sunrise Theatre
Ft. Pierce, FL (2005)

This project involved an extensive renovation of the historic 1,500-seat proscenium theatre and the addition of a new 200-seat black box theatre. ED+A provided room acoustics and mechanical noise control consulting services for this facility.

Palm Beach Dramaworks
West Palm Beach, FL (2011)

The extensive renovation of the Quillo Theatre by Palm Beach Dramaworks is expected to be complete by the fall of 2011. Room acoustics and mechanical noise control for the 500-seat thrust theatre is being provided by ED+A.
